What your child gets

One calm place to study

Biology · Chemistry · Physics · Science · Maths
Lessons written to the current NSW syllabus
Practice questions and quizzes with feedback
Progress and mastery you can see when they sign in

The hardest part of the HSC for many families is simply not knowing where things stand. Is my child keeping up? Are they studying the right things? Is what they are doing at home actually going to help in the exam?

HSCScience is built to answer those questions. Every lesson follows the current NSW NESA syllabus and names the exact syllabus point it covers, so what your child studies here matches what they are taught in class and assessed on in the HSC. The lessons, practice questions and quizzes are free to use, and when your child signs in, their progress is saved so you can both see what is done and what still needs work.

When a topic just will not click, optional one-on-one tutoring with an HSC teacher is there as a next step, without locking anything essential behind a paywall.

You do not need to know the content to be a huge help. A few simple things make the biggest difference:

Ask to see the progress screen. When your child signs in, they can show you which topics are done and which are still amber. A two-minute look each week keeps study honest without nagging.

Protect a regular study time. Short, regular sessions beat long, rare ones. Even twenty focused minutes a day on lessons and practice adds up quickly across a term.

Reach out early, not the night before. If a topic is not clicking, that is the moment to consider a tutoring session, while there is still time to fix it before the assessment.

Is HSCScience really free?

Yes. The lessons, practice questions and quizzes are free to use. Optional one-on-one tutoring is a separate paid service, and there is no charge to enquire about it.

Is the content aligned to what my child studies at school?

Yes. Every lesson is written to the current NSW NESA syllabus and cites the specific syllabus point it covers, so it lines up with class and the HSC exam.

How do I know my child is actually making progress?

When your child signs in, the site tracks the lessons and quizzes they complete and shows progress and mastery per topic, so you can both see what is done and what still needs work.

Who makes the lessons?

HSCScience is built by an HSC teacher, Kyle James, and the lessons follow the same structure and marking language students meet in the exam.

Do you offer tutoring, and what does it cost?
